We enjoyed our dinner very much. It is delicious family style Chinese food that is highly satisfying. The restaurant is owned by a Chinese family and the menu has a very good selection of dishes that are served on Chinese style plates. We smiled when we were addressed as "you two" by the very polite and friendly young man whose family owns the restaurant. We also appreciated the decor.
We shared a dish of beef chow yuk and one of shrimp egg foo yung. Both delicious with a wide variety of perfectly cooked vegetables.
I've tried Asian from from the Bay Area to Florida and this was definitely good food.. idk what the other reviews were talking about. We ordered the #3 combination fried rice meal and the #8 fried rice meal.. and they were delicious! We ordered take out and brought it back toy he hotel room. The portions were really big too, here's a pic of the amount of food containers, wish I could've gotten a pic of the actual food but I just dove right in and stuffed myself.
I was in Baker for an event and had not planned a place to eat. I saw this place while walking down the street and popped in. The food was very good. I recommend the Mongolian beef. The server was really attentive even though he was the only one working.
I understand that in these times service can be hit or miss. However, I don't agree with the reviews that give this restaurant less than 4-5 stars. We called to place an order to pick up, and right up front they told us it would be quite a wait. We asked if they could call us when it was ready, and they absolutely did! When we got ready to eat, everything was hot and fresh. Each dish was seasoned and prepared perfectly. I'll go as far as saying the mushroom foo yung is the best I've ever had! When I'm in town next, we will certainly be ordering again!
